SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER – DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING
Civil / Structural Engineering Firm on the cutting edge of technology is in need of an Sr. Structural Engineer to join its staff in the position of Director of Engineering.
Potential candidate should have experience with land development, site plan design, municipal infrastructure design and permitting. Responsibilities will include preparing roadway designs, profiles, cross-sections, details, etc.., as well as assisting in the preparation of drainage reports, applications, and collecting and analyzing municipal regulations.
Required skills include a minimum of 10+ years of experience in the structural engineering field in a management position. Experience in the Telecommunications industry a plus.
ENTRY LEVEL / JUNIOR CIVIL ENGINEER
Dynamic Civil / Structural Engineering Firm is looking for an entry level/ junior civil engineer to join the Western Massachusetts office.
Potential candidate will report directly to the Principal and be responsible for ensuring client schedules and needs are met; supervising and mentoring all Civil and Structural Engineers, Project Managers and design staff; ensuring all QC / QA procedures are being met and reviewing all drawings for accuracy; reviewing design proposals for accuracy, pricing and presentation; monitoring billing process and accuracy of invoices and monitoring accounts receivable in conjunction with the office staff; conducting weekly staff meetings to review project status and allocation of resources and working with the Project Coordinator; helping establish short and long term goals, as well as, monitoring their progress on a regular basis; staying up to date with current design techniques and tools, i.e. software and equipment, and making recommendations for future technological investments; assist in hiring and firing of staff; identifying staff training needs and develop training; continuing and expanding business development through existing client relationships in the industry; and, conducting annual employee performance reviews.
Required skills include a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience and preferably a B.S. in Civil Engineering, EIT minimum. Candidate needs to be fluent with AutoCad land development and/or Carlson software.
EXPERIENCED LEAD CADD DESIGNER
Civil / Structural Engineering Firm on the cutting edge of technology is in need of an advanced, energetic Lead CADD Designer to join its firm.
Potential candidate will be responsible for turning initial rough field sketches/designs into working documents using CADD; reviewing engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards, and conducting field work, including but not limited to, measuring and providing field sketches. In addition, the Lead Designer will be responsible for working directly with the Project Managers and managing several entry level designers.
Required skills include a minimum of 3-5 years of AutoCad experience and training; Microsoft Office familiarity, good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
