Company News:

HDG just recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary in business! In addition we also recently moved into new office space. We are now located at 1600 Osgood Street, Bldg 20N, Suite 3090, North Andover, MA 01845. We are still in the same building, but we have just moved upstairs to offices with more space to accommodate the staff.


Meet our Newest Member of the Team:

Mr. Douglas J. Roberts, AIA, has recently joined HDG as a Senior Project Architect, heading up our newest office in North Haven, CT. Mr. Roberts comes to the firm with over thirty-five years in the Architecture profession with a broad experience in commercial and institutional work in both the private and public sectors as well as residential and public housing. He is also an experienced Project & Construction Manager in the wireless field for several years and is a great addition to the team.


Latest projects:

Pilot Studio Renovation Video.

The Architecture Department recently completed work on a new office space for Pilot Studio, a fast growing branding firm for the film industry, located at the Boston Design Center. HDG renovated their existing space and expanded it to a total of 4000 SF. Check out the time lapse footage for a glimpse into the extensive renovations.

In their latested endeavor, the Architecture Department, was hired to renovate four areas inside Raytheon's 200,000 SF Integrated Defense System in Billerica, MA. The projects consist of creating a new dining facility, an after hours snack area, a proposal production area and a new data center. The renovations total about 15,000 SF. This department is also currently working on an office building study for The United Methodist Church in Lawrence, MA. The study will provide a comprehensive look at all of the systems and elements of the 28,000 SF Neo-Classical style building.

Our Structural Department was recently hired to design the structural support for a four-story residential building out of cold-formed steel for a project in Gibraltar, and is currently working on designing the support for the exterior components and cladding for Boston Scientific Daycare in Boston, MA and the Audi Dealership in Nashua NH. In addition, the department has also just completed a multi-use office building in Essex, Vermont designing all the exterior structural components and cladding for the building including the structural support systems and glass curtain wall, and the entire structural design, out of cold-formed steel (both Roof and Load Bearing Walls), for the Fairview Healthcare Facility in Hudson NH.

The Telecommunications Department has recently completed over 450 projects for Sprint's NextVision upgrade and over 500 LTE upgrade projects for ATT, in addition to Verizon keeping us busy on their New Site Build Program.

And lastly, our Civil Department recently finished work assisting Comcast with communication cable design and permitting for the CSX Railroad and Pan Am Railroads as well as completing a comprehensive storm water analysis and design of existing retail development with Siegfried Porth Architects. A project nearing completion includes assisting landowners and Environmental Scientists with replacement of existing logging bridge to permanent bridge and river crossing in an environmentally sensitive area. The Civil Department is currently working on developing Site Plan and storm water analysis and design for a proposed "green" solar energy project in Andover, MA. In addition, this department is assisting a commercial business with Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) and Geotechnical Evaluation of Subsurface Conditions for the company’s proposed showcase office and work building in Bloomfield CT.
